Community Involvement

At South Branch Veterinary Services we are happy to help out the animals in our community in need of medical care.

Shelter & Rescue Work

Our doctors and staff donate their time to provide free surgeries every month to a pet in a local shelter or rescue agency. Each month our doctors perform surgery at no charge to help ease the burden for our local shelters and rescues with the goal of getting the pet into a home sooner.

We also provide a discount for local shelters and rescues to help ease the financial burden of caring for our community’s adoptable pets.

We are so happy to have a pet adopted that we offer the pet’s first wellness exam at no cost to the owner if the pet has been adopted from a rescue or shelter registered in New Jersey.

Feral Cat – Trap, Neuter, Return

We are proud to offer our own TNR services to help maintain the health of our community cats.  We provide spay and neuter services, vaccinate, ear tip, and make medical recommendations for community cats that are trapped and brought in through our Feral Cat Program.  Contact us for more information about South Branch Veterinary Services’ own Feral Cat Program.

Animal Population Control Fund

South Branch Veterinary Services is a participating hospital in New Jersey’s Low Cost Spaying/Neutering Program for eligible patients if adopted from an eligible licensed shelter.

Community Donations

At South Branch Veterinary Services we match all proceeds from dog and cat toy sales throughout the year and donate the funds to local animal shelters and rescues. We are also strong supporters of Hunterdon County Animeals. In addition to annual donations to the organization we act as a local collection center for outside food donations to support the program.
