Dr. Elizabeth Hunton completed her studies at Colorado State University. After practicing in a mixed animal practice in California and doing equine race track work in New York, she found her heart in small animal practice. She has been living and practicing small animal companion medicine in New Jersey since 1986. Passionate about her work with animals, she also finds time to garden, bird watch, bike and to enjoy good food with family and friends.
Dr. Jeff Salatiello joined us after a 23 year managing partnership in a 10 doctor practice in Central Jersey. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Hunterdon County with his wife and 2 children. When not tending to patients, he enjoys skiing, fishing, coaching Little League baseball and spending time with his family.
Dr. Gordon is a graduate of Rutgers University and attended the College of Veterinary Medicine in Dublin, Ireland, where she received her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing veterinary medicine over ten years and managed her own veterinary hospital in Ireland. Dr. Gordon has extensive experience with exotics such as birds and small mammals.
Amanda recently joined our growing office staff. Amanda brings with her twenty years of experience in office management as well as a degree in Business and Psychology. Amanda and her family along with their two dogs are residents of Hunterdon County.
Diana is our Head Veterinary Technician. Diana is a graduate certified veterinary technician with years of experience in emergency and surgical veterinary medicine. Her education and training combine to make sure your pet is in good hands.
Veterinary assistant; Maria joined the South Branch team in 2012. She is compassionate and experienced with large and small animals as well as exotics. She has also worked in a feline specialized practice for years in Connecticut as well as a very large practice that included wildlife and farm animals. Maria resides in Hunterdon County with her family including two rescue cats.
Samantha is our staff hospital assistant. She comes to South Branch with several years of caring for animals of all kinds. Samantha’s experience includes volunteer work with a no kill local animal shelter and she also worked for an equine facility. Samantha lives with her family nearby along with her many beloved pets, including a golden retriever, a boxer mix and a bearded dragon lizard.
Nicole is a graduate of Centenary College with a BS in Equine Studies. She has nine years of experience with animal care and veterinary facilities. Nicole lives in Hunterdon County and shows and trains horses Nationally.
Matt is a seasoned animal care technician; He also has years of experience as a wildlife rehabilitation volunteer and as a NJ Certified animal control officer; Matthew has a masters degree from Drew University. He resides in Hunterdon County with his family. Matthew brings his compassion for animals to work at South Branch every day.
Olivia joined South Branch this summer after working for another veterinary hospital for five years. She brings a love of all animals and a sunny disposition to our team. Olivia studied pre-veterinary science at Polytech and has her own pet sitting service; she is a 4H Ambassador and raises and shows rabbits at the National level.
Pam is our Administrative Assistant. She has a bachelors degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and is certified in Veterinary Technical Nutrition Counseling. She has worked with Dr. Hunton for fourteen years. Previous to this, she has worked in general and specialty practices as both a veterinary assistant and receptionist. She and her family live in Lopatcong Township along with Ruger their Golden Retriever, and 2 cats.
Maggie comes to South Branch with decades of experience in client support and animal care. She has previous experience assisting in a veterinary hospital and is a member of the Pittstown Trail Association. Maggie has a degree in graphic design and is active in the Franklin Theatre Works Ensemble. She is a long time Clinton Township resident.
