A Veterinary Clinic in Hunterdon County Offering Wellness Care

The wellness care at South Branch Veterinary Services in Hunterdon County has a goal of giving your pet the happiest and healthiest years of life possible. Through wellness care and preventative care, we help your pets overcome any illnesses or injuries and prevent these things from happening in the future. The end result is more happy years with your pet, something every pet owner wants! We focus on preventative care for pets, such as good nutrition and exercise, in order to reduce the instances of illness and injury and the amount of time your pet will need to spend in our office. If there is a problem, though, our team will be there to help your pet recoverĀ as quickly as possible.

Most of our wellness care services start with thorough and complete physical exams by an experienced veterinarian. These physical examinations help the vet determine the cause of any injury or illness that your pet might be experiencing, even if they aren’t already exhibiting symptoms. Most pets are very good at hiding the fact that they are feeling unwell; a physical examination can be a useful tool to finding and treating issues early on, so they don’t become more serious in the future.

After the examination is complete, our Clinton vets will offer their recommendations for treatment based on the patient’s specific needs. That might include vaccines, spaying or neutering, future wellness exams, medication, or lab testing. If testing is required, most results are available within 1 or 2 business days, so we can act on the results as soon as possible. If your pet requires medication, we have a well-stocked pharmacy on site so we can meet your pet’s needs.

Our Animal Care Clinic Offers Home Visits, Too!

If your pet is too sick to come to our office, you are unable to transport them yourself, or it’s otherwise detrimental to bring them into our office, our veterinarian offers home visits. We will bring the equipment and medication that we believe your pet will need with us to your home and perform a wellness exam in the comfort of your own home. This can be a benefit for animals who are overly anxious during a visit to our office, too. If your pet needs medication or equipment that we didn’t bring with us or are unable to transport, we’ll make arrangements with you at that time to continue their treatment.
